Since 1978, Realtor, Judy Boone has been a dynamic industry leader and dedicated community activist. In 1989, she opened her impressive Ocean View firm that her husband, Realtor, Ronnie Boone built for her in a neighborhood of decline. Her spark of influence was matched with Norfolk's City Revitalization efforts and a renaissance wave of change is seen all across the coastal community today. Among her many accomplishments, Judy received the 2006 "Lifetime Achievement" Award from The Hampton Roads Realtor Association for "changing the face of the community." It was the first of its kind in 120 years to be presented to one of their peers. She was the founding chair for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's Hampton Roads Dream Home. Her husband, Ronnie Boone, built the first and fifth dream home raffled off in $100 lottery tickets. Together the couple has raised millions to save lives of sick children. In 2005, the Boone's were honored by the Hampton Roads Magazine in their "A-List of 50 Very Important People shaping the lives in Hampton Roads." In 2006, The Virginia Chamber of Commerce presented Judy Boone Realty with the State's "Fantastic 50" Award for entrepreneurial spirit and growth in a time of economic slowdown. Kudos continue to roll in for Judy and her firm. But her highest prize was a miraculous liver transplant performed by Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville in June, 2007. Her God given "gift of life" was an organ donated by a pre-adolescent child who brings her back to good health to continue her good works and enjoy her own grandson to this day.
