About Judy

Meet Judy Boone, a dynamic and dedicated real estate professional based in Ocean View, Virginia. Judy has called Ocean View home since she was five years old, and after graduating from Norview High School in 1971, she purchased her first home using her savings as a grocery clerk. In 1978, she started investing in and managing rental properties and began her real estate career, eventually launching her own firm, Judy Boone Realty, in 1989.

As a Graduate of the Realtor’s Institute of Virginia and a multi-million dollar sales producer, Judy has worked hard to establish her company as one of the largest independent real estate firms in the region. She is known for her outstanding personalized service and strong commitment to the community, and her firm has been recognized for these efforts, being voted "Norfolk’s Best" in The Virginian-Pilot’s People’s Choice Award many consecutive years since 1996.

In addition to her successful career, Judy is deeply involved in the community and is known for her philanthropic efforts. In 2000, she was appointed as the Hampton Roads St. Jude Dream Home chair by Peter Decker Jr., the founder of the Southeastern Virginia Board of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Judy has helped to raise millions for the hospital and save the lives of sick children.

Judy's contributions to the community have not gone unnoticed. In 2005, she was included on the "A-List of 50 Very Important People shaping the lives in Hampton Roads" by Hampton Roads Magazine. The following year, she received the "Lifetime Achievement" Award from the Hampton Roads Realtor Association for "changing the face of the community." In 2006, her firm, Judy Boone Realty, was also recognized by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce with the "Fantastic 50" award for entrepreneurial spirit and growth in a time of economic slowdown.

Judy's own personal struggles and triumphs have also been recognized by the community. In 2006, her struggle with liver failure and her miraculous transplant in 2009 at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida were featured in the Virginian Pilot by writer Harry Minium. Despite her challenges, Judy remained dedicated to her work and community, and her efforts were recognized with the Women in Business Achievement Award from the Hampton Roads Business Journal in 2006. Through her perseverance and determination, Judy has made a lasting impact on the Ocean View area and beyond.

Throughout her career and civic activities, Judy has consistently demonstrated a strong dedication to her community and a commitment to helping others. She has received numerous accolades for her work, including being inducted into "The National Registry of Who's Who of Top Real Estate Executives" and being named one of the Top Ten Real Estate Agents in Virginia in 1989.
